Change Your Account Email Address

Whether you are switching to a new company domain, updating your personal contact info, or transferring your login to a new address, keeping your Rella account email current ensures you never miss important campaign updates, approval alerts, or auto-posting notifications.
Rella uses a secure double-confirmation process to protect your account. When you change your email address, you must confirm the update from both your old and new inboxes before the change takes effect.
How to Change Your Email Address
You can update your login and contact email directly within your account settings.
Navigate to your sidebar and click your profile picture or avatar to open Profile settings.
Scroll down to the Contact section.
Locate the New Email input field.
Enter the new email address you want to use for your account.
Click Reset (the submit button).
A success message will appear reading: A confirmation email has been sent. Please check your email.
Completing the Secure Update (Double Confirmation)
For security, your email address is not updated immediately upon clicking Reset. To prevent unauthorized account hijacking, Rella uses a double-confirmation flow:
Check your current inbox: Rella will send a confirmation link to your current (old) email address.
Check your new inbox: Rella will simultaneously send a second confirmation link to your new email address.
Click both links: You MUST open both emails and click the confirmation link inside each one.
Once both links are clicked, Rella will finalize the transition, update your login credentials, and securely redirect you back to your Organization's dashboard.
Changing Your Email FAQs
What happens if the new email is already linked to another Rella account?
Rella does not allow multiple accounts to share the same login email. If the new email address you enter is already registered to another active profile in Rella, the change will be blocked. Rella will securely send an email notification to both addresses explaining that the target email is already in use and cannot be claimed.
What should I do if I don't have access to my old email address?
Because Rella requires confirmation from both your old and new email addresses to prevent unauthorized takeovers, you will need to contact contact@getrella.com if you have completely lost access to your original inbox. Our team will verify your identity, check your Organization's active plan, and assist you with manually updating your credentials.
Will changing my email address affect my active client Social Spaces?
No. Your account email address serves as your secure login. Updating it will not delete, archive, or alter any of your scheduled Content, shared Social Spaces, assigned Tasks, or client workspaces. Your teammates and clients will still see your profile under your updated contact details.
Why haven't I received the confirmation emails?
If you don’t see the confirmation messages within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folders for both inboxes. Also, verify that you entered the new address correctly in the New Email field before resubmitting.
