Collaborating with your team on social media campaigns works best when everyone has the right level of access to create, edit, and schedule posts. In Rella, you can scale your workspace as your team grows by adding team seats directly from your billing settings.
About Seats in Rella
An Organization in Rella is a central hub that contains your team, settings, and Social Spaces. To coordinate work effectively, it is helpful to understand who needs a paid seat and how invitations are managed.
What counts as a seat: Each paid seat represents one member of your Internal Team who can access the full capabilities of your Social Spaces. This includes creating and editing Content, managing Workflow Rules, and updating Statuses.
Who does not count as a seat: Clients and external collaborators do not require a paid seat. Rella allows you to collaborate with unlimited external reviewers via public links at no extra cost. They can view Previews, leave feedback, and follow campaign progress without consuming your paid seats.
Multi-Space access: If a team member is added to multiple Social Spaces inside your Organization, they still only count as one seat toward your subscription.
Invite validity: Invite links are unique, valid for 24 hours, and can be used once per invited user.
How to Add Seats & Update Your Subscription
Only administrators can manage billing and add seats to an Organization.
Navigate to your sidebar and click on your organization logo or name to open Organization Settings.
Select the Billing tab.
In the Subscriptions section, review your current active plan (such as Premium or Premium Plus).
Click Manage Subscriptions. This will securely redirect you to Rella's billing portal (powered by Stripe).
Locate your active subscription and update the seat quantity to your desired number.
Review and confirm the billing changes. You will be redirected back to Rella, and your new seats will be immediately available.

How to Invite Team Members
Once you have added seats to your plan, you can invite new team members to join your Organization.
In Organization Settings, click the Organization tab.
Locate the Members section.
In the invite form, enter the email address of the team member you wish to invite (e.g.,
member@getrella.com).Choose their role from the role selector (such as Admin, Manager, or Editor).
If assigning a non-admin role, select the specific Social Spaces they should have access to.
Click Add to add the user to your pending invite list. You can repeat this process to queue up multiple team members.
Click Send Invites (or Send [X] Invites) to distribute the invitation emails.
Seats & Billing FAQs
If I remove a team member, will my subscription price automatically go down?
No, removing a team member from your Organization does not automatically reduce your subscription seat count or your monthly bill. When you remove a member, their seat simply becomes empty and available for a new invite. To reduce your recurring billing charges, an administrator must manually decrease the quantity of seats on your subscription by navigating to the Billing tab and clicking Manage Subscriptions to update your seat count in the billing portal. If you do not reduce your seat count in the billing portal, you will continue to be billed for the total number of purchased seats you have access to, regardless of how many members are actively using them.
How does billing proration work when I add seats?
Adding seats to your plan is automatically prorated. Rella calculates the cost of the new seats based on the remaining days in your current billing cycle and charges your payment method on file for that prorated amount. When your next regular billing cycle starts, you will be billed the full recurring amount for your updated seat count.
What happens if I remove a seat?
If you reduce your seat count, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You will continue to have access to that seat until your current period ends. Before reducing your seat count, ensure the number of active team members in your Organization does not exceed your target seat count.
Will adding seats end my free trial?
Yes, updating your subscription tier or changing your seat count while on a free trial will immediately end your trial period. Any trial benefits will expire, and your regular billing cycle will begin. To add seats during your free trial, please email contact@getrella.com.
Can clients edit Content without a seat?
No, clients and external collaborators do not have editing permissions and cannot edit Content directly inside Rella. To allow an external collaborator to edit Content, you must assign them a seat within your Organization. If they only need to view, review, or leave feedback, you can share a public link at no extra cost without using a seat.
Do I need to buy a seat if a team member is in multiple Social Spaces?
No, a team member only counts as a single seat within your Organization, regardless of how many different Social Spaces they are added to.
What should I do if an invite link expires?
Invite links are valid for 24 hours. If an invite expires before the team member can accept it, navigate to the Invites section under the Organization tab and click the resend icon next to their name to issue a new link.
