Link Your Google Calendar to Rella
Last updated: May 29, 2026
Keeping your social media schedule aligned with your broader marketing milestones, team syncs, and business events is critical to staying organized. Linking your Google Calendar to Rella ensures that your scheduled Content and daily Tasks are automatically pushed to your calendar, keeping your entire schedule visible in one central place.
About the Google Calendar Integration
Rella's Google Calendar integration connects your social media timeline to your day-to-day schedule. Instead of hopping back and forth between planning tools, Rella automatically creates and updates events on your Google Calendar whenever you schedule posts or organize deliverables.
This is a one-way sync from Rella to your Google Calendar. Any changes you make inside Rella—such as moving a post time, changing a caption, or deleting a deliverable—will update your Google Calendar in real time.
How to Link Google Calendar
You can authorize and configure your calendar connection directly within your personal profile settings.
Navigate to your sidebar and click your profile picture to open Profile settings.
Select Integrations.
Locate Google Calendar and click Link Google Calendar (or select Connect Google Services and check the box for Google Calendar).
A secure Google sign-in window will open. Log in to your Google account and grant Rella permission to manage your calendar events.
Once authorized, you will be redirected to the Rella Select Calendar page.
Choose the specific calendar you want to sync your work to (such as your primary calendar or a dedicated social media calendar). Note that you can only sync to calendars where you have Owner or Writer permissions.
Click Confirm to finalize the link.
How Content & Tasks Sync
Once your calendar is linked, Rella automatically pushes updates to your selected Google Calendar.
Content posts: When you schedule a Content post with a start and end time (or as an all-day event), Rella creates an event on your Google Calendar. The event title matches your Rella Content title, and the description includes a direct link back to your draft. If you drag and drop a post on your Rella Calendar to change its date or time, the Google Calendar event updates instantly.
Tasks & Deliverables: When you create or schedule a Task in Rella, it syncs to your Google Calendar as an event. The event is named using the pattern
TODO: [Task Description] | [Content Title]so you can easily see what needs to be done and which post it belongs to.Deletions: If you delete a scheduled post or a Task inside Rella, the corresponding event is automatically removed from your Google Calendar.
Google Calendar FAQs
Can I sync Rella to multiple Google Calendars?
No. You can only link your Rella workspace to one active Google Calendar at a time. If you need to switch calendars, navigate back to your Integrations settings and click Update Calendar to pick a different writable folder.
What happens if I edit or delete the event inside Google Calendar directly?
Because this is a one-way sync from Rella to Google Calendar, any manual edits or deletions you make directly inside Google Calendar will not sync back to Rella. For best results, always manage your scheduled times, titles, and descriptions inside Rella to keep both systems in perfect sync.
Why can't I see one of my Google Calendars in the dropdown list?
Rella requires permission to write and edit events on your calendar. If a calendar is missing from your dropdown list, verify inside Google Calendar that your Google account has Owner or Writer permissions for that specific calendar. Read-only or shared calendars where you only have viewer access cannot be linked.
How do I disconnect my Google Calendar?
If you want to stop syncing, navigate to Profile settings > Integrations, locate Google Calendar, and click Disconnect.
